Ligurian oil to conquer Prague and Budapest
Liguria International and Ice presented the agro-food excellences of fifteen Ligurian companies.
Fifteen Ligurian companies participated in two days dedicated to promoting the Ligurian agro-food industry abroad. The event was organised by Liguria International, one of the Filse group companies to internationalise Ligurian enterprises, and ICE (Foreign Trade Institute) with the collaboration of the special company of the Chamber of Commerce of Imperia. Tuesday 8 June in Prague and Thursday 10 June in Budapest, two seminars were held on a Ligurian product of excellence – PDO (protected designation of origin) extra-virgin olive oil. “The initiative”, explains the President of Liguria International Franco Aprile, “lies within the ICE – Liguria Region Programme Agreement that finances projects to promote Ligurian enterprise abroad. In this case, with the active collaboration of the Special Company of Imperia, it is possible to cover and exploit all the resources of the Ligurian territory, promoting it on two markets – Hungary and the Czech Republic, whose increased income means quality purchases, so the typical high quality food products of the Ligurian tradition can increasingly establish themselves.
Tasting sessions and technical and informative meetings were held on both days in addition to meetings with the local mass retail representatives. In Prague and Budapest ICE sent invitations to journalists, importers, distributors, wholesalers in the economic sector, catering firms, food & beverage companies, restaurant and hotel managers. Participating Ligurian companies that also operate in other production sectors were: Olio Anfosso, Ranise agroalimentare, Frantoio Boeri, Pasqualini caffè, Perla srl, Azienda agricola Rota Roberto, Casa olearia taggiasca, Frantoio di Sant’Agata, Frantoio Ghiglione, Olio Calvi Giuseppe, Lucchi e Guastalli, Olio Roi, Olio Sommariva, La Baita, Azienda agricola Ca Bianca.
